  5. I will instruct and demonstrate quality college research that the student needs to conduct (with my assistance)
  6. Assist the student in narrowing down their list of colleges and establishing an Apply list of colleges

  11. Assist you in making your final college selection

I find that an on-going relationship throughout the "Going to College" process best suits the student's needs.  I conduct a free initial meeting where I do a transcript review, assess the student's college needs, explain my services and show where I can be help in the "Going to College" process.

Some families want the student to complete the application process on their own, but need help in establishing an Apply List of colleges.  I provide a College Selection Package that includes numbers 1 through 6, 8, 10 and 11.  I will provide an overview of the application process, but not monitor the application timetable.

Other families have already established an Apply List of colleges, but feel the need for help in overseeing the application process.  I provide a College Application Package that includes a review of the your Apply List and numbers 8 through 11.

The "Colorado" Application Package. Applying to in-state public colleges and universities is a fairly straight-forward process. This consultation is comprised of a single one-and-one-half to two-hour meeting with a student and their parents.  During this time, I will explain the "Going to College" process, do a transcript review, outline Colorado college options, construct a personalized college planning timetable with application and financial aid timelines, answer questions about application procedures, and lead the client towards avenues for financial aid/scholarships. This package also allows for one follow-up phone call, one email essay review, one application review, and I will provide you with a copy of the Colorado Collegiate Handbook. The cost for this consultation is $200.

Hourly College Consultation. I will come to your house and  will answer all questions that the client might have in regards to college.  When making a housecall, I charge a minimum of a one hour rate.  Any preparatory work for this type of meeting will be done at the stated hourly rate and agreed upon before the service is preformed.  Some families prefer to ask questions by e-mail or by phone.  I charge the stated hourly rate and work in quarter hour segments.  My hourly fee is $125 per hour.

And, of course, I also work with students with "special situations" (as a add-on or seperate package) - student athletes, students with special talents, etc, as well as provide counseling in the areas of college transfer, graduate school admissions, and career counseling.
