"I got in!!!!"
Haley's response after being accepted Early Decison to Rice University
"Great News! Katie was accepted to Gonzaga along with a $22,000 scholarship!"
from a Graduate's Parent
"The college search is mind-boggling and confusing at best. Chris' first-hand knowledge of schools and my daughter's interests really pared down the suitable choices for her and gave us the organization to focus on what she really wanted out of the college experience. Her first-choice school even offered her a full-ride scholarship - probably due to Chris' coaching as to how to present herself to the different schools. What a great investment we made using Chris!" from a Graduate's parent
"I got a scholarship from ASU on Monday. It's the New American University Scholarship, and this is the first year they are awarding it to prospective students. It is $13,000 every year provided I keep a 3.25 GPA! Last week I got an acceptance letter to American University with a $20,000 annual scholarship." from Katie who now attends Arizona State University
"Jacquie got in to University of Puget Sound and University of Denver (both with scholarship money), Lewis and Clark, Bates College, and Colorado College. Thank you so much for your help with everything." from a parent who has a daughter attending Colorado College
“As the parents of two daughters looking at college, one at the undergraduate and one at the graduate level, we didn’t know where to begin. Considering the extensive workload of most public school counselors, we were looking for someone who could offer more individualized and involved assistance. Chris Christian came highly recommended to us." from a parent who has a daughter that attends Bucknell University
"Chris knows the application requirements, procedures, and deadlines of each institution, but his knowledge does not stop at filling out paperwork. He is familiar with the expectations of admissions officers and knows the likelihood of acceptance based not only upon the student’s qualifications but also based upon the enrollment limitations and idiosyncrasies of each institution. He knows the academic ratings of various universities and colleges and the relative value that a degree from a given institution offers. He knows what monies are available from both the institutions themselves and from outside sources and he knows how to apply for and the likelihood of receiving those monies." from a Graduate's parent whose son attends Emory University
"Chris’ demeanor is caring and supportive. He familiarized himself with each of our students and helped them decide which schools would most effectively fit their academic, social and financial needs. He is easy to communicate with, and our daughters were comfortable working directly with him on many occasions. We found his extensive knowledge and advice invaluable tools in an ever-changing and challenging process.” from a Graduate's parent whose has two daughters that both attend Colorado State University
“Over the past several months Mr. Christian has helped me to complete my college applications in a complete and timely manner. Throughout the process he has proved to be incredibly valuable, from selecting schools that fit my personality to checking over the essays and making sure they were grammatical correct and coherent. After watching my sister work on her applications two years ago with an expensive college counselor in Denver, I have found Mr. Christian to be far more beneficial to the process as a whole. Having recently been accepted to my top two schools, I feel that Mr. Christian aided me greatly along the way. I recommend his services to any student that is starting the college application process.” from a Graduate who is attending Sarah Lawrence College
“Please feel free to use our name and give out our phone number as well. We have been sharing with (school deleted) parents just how grateful we are to you and what wonderful work you did with (name deleted). We would be happy to talk with any parent that may want to call us." from a parent who son attended Prescott College
"Sam is our third and last college-bound child so we were not rookies about going through the college application process. Our oldest son remarked how he wished he had been able to work with you when he was applying to college 10 years ago. With our middle child, we hired an expensive college consultant in Denver to work with us and our daughter. Although it was an interesting and helpful experience, you have been the most helpful overall. Your family interview and the parent questionnaire for us (parents), to get feedback from us about (name deleted) strengths and weaknesses helped make the work you did with (name deleted) r most successful. We were aware of your genuine interest in what would be best for (name deleted) and the personal attention to supporting his unique characteristics. Setting goals and timelines helped (name deleted) stay on task and taught him valuable skills he can use in life. It was so helpful to have timelines and getting all his applications in early. We are so impressed. Thank you, Chris.” from a parent who has a son going to Vanderbilt University
"Chris Christian is a wealth of information both in person and through e-mail. He genuinely cares about his clients- both students and parents- and is always willing to help. His response time to questions by e-mail is incredible- within the same day and often within the hour. Chris answers questions thoroughly and provides additional advice which is always pertinent. He has excellent listening skills, unending patience and a reassuring personality. The process of college research, selection and applications can be overwhelming but Chris puts every piece into perspective and helps you one step at a time. His years of experience add to his credibility when he says the student is a strong candidate and the list of colleges is reasonable. Chris gives his clients the confidence to know they can manage the process and have good results with minimal stress along the way. We have only started the process and are grateful to know he is in our corner!" from a graduate's parent who has a daughter attending American University
"Hey Mr. Christian- I have really good news...I got an acceptance letter from Colorado State University and I also received a $10,000 scholarship with them with an additional $2,000 for every year that I live in their approved housing. I'm super excited and thank you soooo much for all of your help." from a Graduate
I can not even begin to express what a blessing it is to have the Boettcher (scholarship). It opens up so many opportunities. I am had an extremely tough time deciding between CU (University of Colorado- Boulder) and DU (University of Denver). However, I choose CU last night and am mailing off my deposit. Thank you so much for everything. From a 2007 graduate who earned a Boettcher Scholarship (40 given to students in Colorado)
Garrett did receive a scholarship from Grove City (College)! He will receive $2,500 each of the four years and he does not have to renew each year (so $10,000 total). We sent our deposit off today. We are glad to finally have a decision!
Thank you Chris for all your help. You were a great resource. It's not often that you find someone who under promises and over delivers! Well done! We enjoyed working with you. From a graduate's parent
Matt selected the University of Wyoming. With the very friendly folks we met and the diverse curriculums to select from, we are very pleased with U. of W. He received a very nice offer with academic and athletic scholarships as a bonus. Thank You again for your assistance and support. From a 2007 graduate's parent
Well, Eileen finally made the decision to go with Penn (University of Pennsylvania). Thank you for calling last week to try to help her decide. In the end, she chose it for the same reasons that (father's name omitted) & I thought that it was best - academic rigor, reputation, broader college of arts & sciences vs. international affairs at GW (George Washington University) & emphasis on job placement upon graduation.
Thank you again for all that you did to make this happen. I truly believe that although (student's name omitted) got in on her own talent & accomplishments that she wouldn't have stood out without your guidance. Two of your best suggestions (of many) were to write her resume in narrative form and to keep contacting Penn.
Please feel free to use us as a reference, & I will gladly talk with anyone who wants reassurance that you're worth every penny! from a graduate's parent who has a daughter who now attends Hillsdale College
Chris,
Thanks for seeing us all thru the college application process. There is tremendous relief in our household now that those first Early Action and the big Early Decision applications have been submitted. I honestly don't know how we could have survived that last day without your cell phone number! Graduate's Parent whose daughter now attends American University
